5/09/26: Well… our final screening really went out with a banger! The Brat Snack took home Best Cosplay Short Film at the San Diego Streaming Festival on April 11th, 2026!
The event, hosted by the city of Escondido, was yummers as hell: lots of great films, a fun awards ceremony, and a chance to connect with other filmmakers. It felt especially meaningful to receive recognition locally, since the film was almost entirely made and shot right here in San Diego.
Ralph was in attendance to accept the award, and it was awesome to see the film celebrated on the big screen one last time.

And the grilling cherry on top, The Brat Snack is now searchable on Roku! Try it yourself: search for The Brat Snack on your Roku device and it will pop up on the San Diego Indie Film Network channel, where it plays alongside other award-winning films. Pretty amazing!

3/28/26: In what is likely the final festival screening of our film, The Brat Snack screened at the San Diego Streaming Festival earlier this month. Since it was filmed almost entirely in San Diego, it felt especially fitting to close out its festival run at a local event. Filmmaker Ralph was present, along with collaborator Hannah. While not many people were in attendance, Ralph had the opportunity to introduce the film to a small audience and sat down for an interview afterward. And guess what, there were some laughs in the audience (granted, most were from us). It’s amazing to think the film is still getting some play after all these years. The film is also up for a potential award on April 11th. Fingers crossed!
Also! Blair’s journal page is finally done. Check it out. I found some cool code online to make it an interactive notebook. It’s not perfect and could probably use some tweaking, but I like it! I think I need to add contrast to my images so they pop more. Pencil is hard to read!
